The opposite of love isn't hate, it's indifference. And fear is itself is just derived from hatred. It's quite common for spouses in abusive relationships to fear their significant other and for very good reasons. This doesn't mean they don't love them, quite the opposite, often they do love them very much and this adds to they pain of leaving them as many people in these situations are reluctant to leave.

I find the idea useful: that a principal is an instigator to take action; I had not considered it in an active light before.

You totally got the concept! The idea is you have to find out what is important to you in your Mexican restaurant - cause your never going to find the perfect one with everything. Same applies to relationships - men! You have to figure out what has to be there for you to enjoy being there for a long time. God knows I've received recommendations for Mexican restuarant that I thought was terrible - yet they loved it. So it goes that there really is someone out there for all of us....if you keep on looking! Just don't settle - be happy with your choice!

a great book and an inspiration.
I've read a few self help books in my time but few gave me the means or the guidance to truly go out there and get what i want. Ian's book did. It taught me never to assume, make excuses or hold back. But not only that; more importantly, it showed me **HOW**
